Why am I having problems seeing my site using the Instant Access
Alias?
There could be two reasons for this problem:
1) You have the domain assigned to a dedicated IP address. In this
case, the dedicated IP becomes your I/A Alias for the site, because
the actual alias responds on the shared IP for the server. Thus,
a dedicated IP address assignment will take the place of the I/A
Alias. You should be able to view and upload to the site via the
dedicated IP.
2) You don't have all of your Logical Servers and Server Aliases
submitted.
Adding Logical Servers and Server Aliases:
1. Login into the Admin control panel.
2. Click EManager.
3. Click DNS Manager.
4. Click the Edit button to the right of DNS Zone.
5. Click the Edit button to the right of your Instant Alias address.
6. If there are Logical servers that need to be added, scroll to
the bottom of the page and click “Add records to all listed
logical servers”.
7. Click Server Aliases under EManager.
8. If there are server aliases that need to be added, scroll to the
bottom of the page click Submit.
Allow 4-12 hours for changes to take place. We are adding servers
on a regular basis so we recommend that you submit these servers & aliases
at least once per month.
Once you have completed the above, wait 15-30 minutes, turn the
Instant Access Domain Alias OFF and then ON again for the domain
in question, and the new Alias should work now.
